Consider the Source recently shared a cover of “Death Whispered A Lullaby” by Swedish progressive metal band Opeth.
“Opeth is one of the few bands that influenced all three of us individually during our teenage years and later collectively as a band,” the band said in a press release. “They write extended compositions that are emotionally dark and brilliantly tie together extremely heavy sections with soft acoustic passages. Their top-notch production, tight beats and catchy melodies have become something we look for in our own original music.
The group continued, “We wanted to cover one of their songs for a long time, but we couldn’t choose a single favorite. We hope you enjoy our rendition of “Death Whispered A Lullaby” with some of our favorite riffs added to the end of “Closure” and “Deliverance.”
